WELCOME
Welcome to my practice! I am a Licensed Psychologist who has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years. My education, training, and work experience have given me the unique opportunity to work in all levels of care (outpatient, intensive outpatient, day treatment/partial hospitalization, and inpatient) and with diverse populations. I bring to therapy specific tools and knowledge that are informed through current research and ongoing training to help people work towards a more compassionate, mindful, and meaningful life.
I believe whole-heartedly in the therapeutic relationship and the process of psychotherapy to facilitate acceptance and lasting change. Research shows that a genuine and strong therapeutic relationship is the best predictor of a successful outcome to therapy. Therefore, I have a relational approach to therapy and believe that it is a collaborative process which must include honest, respectful, and direct communication. Each person comes in with their own unique life story, strengths, barriers, and goals. It is my role to create a non-judgmental and compassionate environment to safely explore what will be helpful for each person. I believe it is important to meet people where they are and be open to the unfolding process of self-discovery.
My practice focuses on helping people develop more mindful, compassionate, and balanced ways of living, as well as increase healthier connections with oneself and others. My hope is to have the opportunity to work along-side you to help you clarify and meet your unique goals and align your life with your core values.
